Komodo - Toraja Sulawesi Tour 6 Days

Komodo Toraja Sulawesi Tour is one of the excellent tours-trips-and excursions starting from Komodo and continue to Toraja Sulawesi. It is available for a solo traveler, couple, family or group.

Itinerary

Tour 1 : Bali - Makasar - Toraja (-/L/D)
In the early morning our tour guide will pick you up from your hotel in Bali, then transfer to Ngurah Rai airport-Bali. Enjoy a one hour flight from Bali to Makasar-south Sulawesi. Upon arrival at Sultan Hasanudin airport, our tour guide will pick you up, then take you on a long trip to Toraja highland. On the way to Toraja you will visit Ramang-Ramang. Enjoy a fun boat trip along the Pute river and see the impreyssive Karst stone formation that are cut by the river. Lunch will be served in the small harbour town of Pare-Pare. In the afternoon you will stop at the Bambapuang mountain where you can drink a cup of coffee or tee while enjoy the gorgeous panorama in the surrounding area. Arrival in Toraja in the evening. Dinner and overnight in a hotel.

Tour 2 : Full Day Toraja Tour (B/L/-)
In the second day you will enjoy a whole day trip and explore the south and north Toraja. First you will visit Londa, a natural stone cave which is used by the locals for the burial purposes. You can enter the mystic cave and see some human skeleton of the death from long time ago. Next you will visit Kete-Kesu, a traditional torajan village that is surrounded by the green rice fields. Before lunch you will visit the traditional BOLU market to see the local bussines activities. The white buffalo, torajan pigs and also the crops like coffee, cloves and spices are ready for sale here. After visiting the market, then proceds to Lo'ko Mata to see the stone grave in a square-shaped rock, then go trekking to Batutumonga the highest mountain in Toraja. This place offers a wonderful panorama overlooking the small town of Rantepao (the capital of Toraja district). Lunch will be served here. In the afetrnoon you will visit the Rantepao market, where the locals sale their handycrafts. On the way back to the hotel you have the opportunity to try the best toraja coffee. Dinner and overnight in the hotel.

Tour3 : Toraja - Makasar - Bali (B/L/-)
After breakfast our car will pick you up and take you on a long trip back to Makasar. On the way you will visit the famous Lemo Tomb Stone, a cemetery in the steep rocks, which combines the death, art and ritual of the torajan. Next you will visit the "Baby grave" in a living tree. In the late afternoon check in in Sultan Hasanudin airport for the return flight to Bali. Upon arrival in Bali our car will pick you up, then drop you to the hotel we have booked earlier. Dinner for this evening is not included in the price.

Tour 4 : L.Bajo -Kelor - Rinca island - Padar Island Trekking (B/L/D)
Picked up from your hotel in Bali in the very early morning, then transfer in a comfortable car to Ngurah Rai Airport-Bali. After 1,5 hours flight you will arrive at Komodo Airport-Labuan Bajo. Transfer to the pier of Labuan Bajo about 10 minutes, then continue by boat to Kelor island for snorkeling. Kelor is a beautiful island with a pristine white sand beach. This wonderful island is circled by colorful corral reefs with plenty of underwater wildlifes. After snorkeling in Kelor, then head towards Rinca approximately 1 hour. Upon arrival in Rinca our tour guide with a ranger will escort you during the 1,5 hours trek through the savanna and the dry forest. In this trek there is a good opportunity to see the Komodo dragons and their prey such as water buffalo, long-tail grey mackaques, wild boar, timor deer and palm civet. You might also see the birds like white bellied sea eagle, orange-footed schrubfowl, green junglefowl, frigatebirds and great-billed. From Rinca, then proceed towards Padar island around one hour. Padar is one of the most beautiful sights in Indonesia. It features some dramatically rugged hills and the white sand beaches in the coastlines. There are no Komodo dragons that live on this island. To reach the viewpoint of Padar you have to walk up the steep hill on a small path passing through the savanna. The first meters of the path are stairs that are preytty easy to walk. The rest are stones. After trekking, back to the boat for dinner and overnight.

Tour 5 : Padar island - Komodo island - Pink Beach - Manta point - Kanawa (B/L/D)
On the next day the boat trip to Komodo starts at 05:30am while you are still having a sleep. Sorry that the sound of the machine will disturb you. The boat trip takes time approximately 1, 5 hours. Upon arrival in Komodo, a ranger will welcome you and introduce you some regulations that you must follow for your safety during trekking. He and your guide will escort you during trekking in the forest. Komodo dragons commonly appear between 06:30am to 10:00am. This is the best time for Komodo dragons for hunting and also a good opportunity for them to catch their prey such as Timor deer, wild boar, water buffalo, small lizards and snakes. Not only Komodo dragons that inhabit this wonderful Komodo island but also verious birds such as white bellied sea eagle, orange-footed schrubfowl, green jungle fowl, frigate birds and great-billed heron. Proceed to Pantai Merah (pink beach) for snorkeling and swimming. This place is one of the most visited sights in Komodo, which has a gorgeous corral reef with many colorful fishes in crystal clear water. From the Pink beach, then head towards Manta point if the weather condition permits. During snorkeling in the Manta point you have a good opportunity to see the great Mantas, but we can’t guarantee that the Mantas are always there to see, because it is not in aquarium. Attention! "Please don't dive and take a picture from the bottom of the sea, as the underwater current is very strong in this place". From the manta point, then head towards Kanawa Island. Dinner and overnight on the boat in Kanawa.

Tour 6 : Return Flight to Bali (B/-/-)
After breakfast we have the opportunity to go snorkeling. After that the boat will take you to Bidadari island for snorkeling. Return to labuan Bajo and check in at the airport for the return flight to Bali.
