Komodo and Java Tour 7 Days

Komodo Java tour is one of the wonderful tours-trips-and excursions from komodo dragon islands Flores to Java island. Komodo Java adventure tour is available for a solo traveler, couple, family or group.

Itinerary

Tour 1 : Borobudur - Prambanan - Sultan Palast (B/L/-)
In the early morning our tour guide will pick you up from your hotel in Yogyakarta, then enjoy a long journey to Magelang central Java to visit BOROBUDUR Temple, the largest buddhist monument in the world that was build in times of Sailendra dinasty (AD 780-840). Back to Yogyakarta to visit the next UNESCO World Heritage Site in central Java namely PRAMBANAN Temple compounds, that are built in the 10th century, dedicated to three great Hindu divinities (Shiva, Vishnu, Brahma). In the afternoon you will take a look at the Sultan palast of Yogyakarta, then enjoy a city tour before back to the hotel.

Tour 2 : Yogyakarta - Bromo (B/L/-)
In the second day you have to wake up early morning to catch the train leaving for Mojokerto, east Java. First transfer to train station, then enjoy a long journey in a train to east Java approximately 3 hours. Our tour guide and driver will be waiting for you at the train station of Mojokerto. Arrival around 11:00am and drive up the mountain to Tengger Semeru National Park. In the late afternoon you will arrive in Cemoro Lawang and check in in the hotel Lava View.

Tour3 : Bromo - Ketapang (B/L/-)
At 03:00am in the early morning a 4 wheel drive(JEEP) will pick you up in the hotel and take you on tour to Bukit Penanjakan. From this peak you will amaze the wonderful lanscape over the Bromo mount and the surrounding mountains while enjoying the spectacular sunrise. (a jacket is highly recommended in this tour). After the sunrise the Jeep will take you down into the massive crater passing through the sea sand and stop at the Poten Bromo Hindu Temple. From there you walk aprox. 1'5km on the grey sand untill you reach the stairs, where you walk up the almost 300 stairs to the edge of the active Bromo mount. You can walk a long the edge and see the fog coming out from the crater. Back to your hotel in Cemoro Lawang for breakfast and shower. After that you will enjoy a long journey to Ketapang-east Java passing through small towns, villages, green fields and teak forest (21km). You will see also some tobaco plantations, sogar plantations, rice fields and industrial buidings a long the north coastlines of east Java. In the late afternoon you you will arrive in Ketapang, a harbour town that is located in the eastern coast of Java island. Check in in Ketapang Indah Resort.

Tour 4 : Ijen - Bali (B/L/-)
If you want to see the blue fire, then you have to start the tour at 12:00pm so you will arrive at the blue fire at 04:00am because the blue fire can only be seen in the dark, otherwise you can start the normal tour at 02:30am. Our car will take us first approximately 1'5 hours to Paltuding, that is located on the half way to Ijen mountain top. From there you will start trekking for approx. 2 hours to the turkish colored Ijen crater lake that lies in the phenomenal crater of the Ijen volcano (2.799m). A beautiful panorama with a fresh morning breeze will wellcome you upon arriving on the top. A Jacket ist needed in this cold weather. On the way back to the hotel you will see green fields and the local harvest like coffee, Cacao, and clove, banana and vegetables are included as well. Take a shower and breakfast in the hotel. After that a ferry will take you crossing the sea to Gilimanuk - west Bali harbour (approx. 1 hour). From Gilimanuk you will enjoy the rest of the day in long journey from the west to the south Bali. On the way you will see beautiful green fields, Reisterraces, blue mountains and the indian ocean. Check in in the booked hotel in the south.

Tour 5 : L.Bajo -Kelor - Rinca island - Padar Island Trekking (B/L/D)
Picked up from your hotel in Bali in the very early morning, then transfer in a comfortable car to Ngurah Rai Airport-Bali. After 1,5 hours flight you will arrive at Komodo Airport-Labuan Bajo. Transfer to the pier of Labuan Bajo about 10 minutes, then continue by boat to Kelor island for snorkeling. Kelor is a beautiful island with a pristine white sand beach. This wonderful island is circled by colorful corral reefs with plenty of underwater wildlifes. After snorkeling in Kelor, then head towards Rinca approximately 1 hour. Upon arrival in Rinca our tour guide with a ranger will escort you during the 1,5 hours trek through the savanna and the dry forest. In this trek there is a good opportunity to see the Komodo dragons and their prey like water buffalo, long-tail grey mackaques, wild boar, timor deer and palm civet. You might also see the birds like white bellied sea eagle, orange-footed schrubfowl, green junglefowl, frigatebirds and great-billed. From Rinca, then proceed towards Padar island around one hour. Padar is one of the most beautiful sights in Indonesia. It features some dramatically rugged hills and the white sand beaches in the coastlines. There are no Komodo dragons that live on this island. To reach the viewpoint of Padar you have to walk up the steep hill on a small path passing through the savanna. The first meters of the path are stairs that are preytty easy to walk. The rest are stones. After trekking, back to the boat for dinner and overnight.

Tour 6 : Padar island - Komodo island - Pink Beach - Manta point - Kanawa (B/L/D)
On the next day the boat trip to Komodo starts at 05:30am while you are still having a sleep. Sorry that the sound of the machine will disturb you. The boat trip takes time approximately 1, 5 hours. Upon arrival in Komodo, a ranger will welcome you and introduce you some regulations that you must follow for your safety during trekking. He and your guide will escort you during trekking in the forest. Komodo dragons commonly appear between 06:30am to 10:00am. This is the best time for Komodo dragons for hunting and also a good opportunity for them to catch their prey like Timor deer, wild boar, water buffalo, small lizards and snakes. Not only Komodo dragons that inhabit this wonderful Komodo island but also birds like white bellied sea eagle, orange-footed schrubfowl, green jungle fowl, frigate birds and great-billed heron. From Komodo, then proceed to Pantai Merah (pink beach) for snorkeling approx. 30 minutes by boat. In the crystal clear water of Pantai Merah you will see gorgeous corral reefs and many colorful fishes. From the Pink beach, then head towards Manta point if the weather condition permits. During snorkeling in the Manta point you have a good opportunity to see the great Mantas, but we can’t guarantee that the Mantas are always there to see, because it is not in aquarium. Attention! "Please don't dive and take a picture from the bottom of the sea, as the underwater current is very strong in this place". From the manta point, then head towards Kanawa Island. Dinner and overnight on the boat in Kanawa.

Tour 7 : Return Flight to Bali (B/-/-)
After breakfast we have the opportunity to go snorkeling. After that the boat will take you to Bidadari island for snorkeling. Return to labuan Bajo and check in at the airport for the return flight to Bali.
