Itinerary

Tour 1 : Bali - Surabaya - Pangkalan Bun - proboscis monkeys at Sekonyer river - Tanjung Harapan (B/L/-)
Our comfortable car will pick you up from your hotel in Bali and transfer to Ngurah Rai airport-Denpasar. Enjoy a 1 hour flight from Dps to Surabaya, then you have to wait (about 2-3 hours) for the next 1 hour flight from Surabaya to Pangkalan Bun. Upon arrival in Pangkalan Bun our tour guide will pick you up, then transfer in a comfortable car to Kumai river (20 minutes). Our traditional wooden boat is waiting for you there and ready to take you into the Tanjung Puting National Park via Sekonyer river. Lunch will be served on the boat. In the first kilometers of the cruise in the park you will see the green Nipa palms and Pandan that grow along the Sekonyer river banks. Once the boat enters the forest, don't forget to prepare your camera, as you will see the grey monkeys (macaque), proboscis monkeys that can only be found in Borneo and birds that are commonly found in this huge forest. Sometimes the Orangutans appear on the tall trees. Dinner and overnight on the boat.

Tour 2 : Houseboat - Pondok Tanggui - Camp Leakey - Houseboat (B/L/-)
During breakfast the boat is heading for Pondok Tanggui, the second rehabilitation of the orangutans. In this place you will see the endemic Orangutans during the feeding time at 09:00am. Other bornean wildlife like wild pig, bornean white-bearded gibbon, sun bears and birds might appear as well. After feeding time back to the river and the boat will take you further to Camp Leakey via black river. Fish and Crocodiles sometimes appear in this river. Upon arrival in Camp Leakey you will visit the Orangutan Information Center where you can see in pictures all the works of Dr. Biruté Mary Galdikas, as the president & Co-founder of OFI ( Orangutan Foundation International) since 1971. From Camp Leakey you will go trekking into the forest for approximately 1,5 hours to the feeding point of the Orangutans. Feeding time is between 14:00pm - 16:00pm. Enjoy your time to observe the Orangutans while waiting for a good moment for taking a picture. Back to the boat and proceds to Nipa palm area for overnight. Thausands of fireflies will lighten the dark night at the river banks of Nipa palm area. Dinner and overnight on the boat.

Tour 3 : Sekonyer - Kumai - Pangkalan Bun - Surabaya - Bali (B/L/-)
The boat is leaving the Nipa palm area in the very early morning. You will enjoy breakfast during the boat trip back to Kumai river. Our comfortable car will take you then from Kumai to the Pangkalan Bun airport for the return flight to Surabaya and next to Denpasar-Bali. Upon arrival at Ngurah Rai airport-Bali our driver will pick you up, then take you to the booked hotel in south Bali. Dinner for this evening is not included in the tour price.

Tour 4 : L.Bajo - Kelor - Rinca island - Padar Island Trekking (B/L/D)
Picked up from your hotel in Bali in the very early morning, then transfer in a comfortable car to Ngurah Rai Airport-Bali. After 1,5 hours flight you will arrive at Komodo Airport-Labuan Bajo. Transfer to the pier of Labuan Bajo about 10 minutes, then continue by boat to Kelor island for snorkeling. Kelor is a beautiful island with a pristine white sand beach. This wonderful island is circled by colorful corral reefs with plenty of underwater wildlifes. After snorkeling in Kelor, then head towards Rinca approximately 1 hour. Upon arrival in Rinca our tour guide with a ranger will escort you during the 1,5 hours trek through the savanna and the dry forest. In this trek there is a good opportunity to see the Komodo dragons and their prey such as water buffalo, long-tail grey mackaques, wild boar, timor deer and palm civet. You might also see the birds like white bellied sea eagle, orange-footed schrubfowl, green junglefowl, frigatebirds and great-billed. From Rinca, then proceed towards Padar island around one hour. Padar is one of the most beautiful sights in Indonesia. It features some dramatically rugged hills and the white sand beaches in the coastlines. There are no Komodo dragons that live on this island. To reach the viewpoint of Padar you have to walk up the steep hill on a small path passing through the savanna. The first meters of the path are stairs that are preytty easy to walk. The rest are stones. After trekking, back to the boat for dinner and overnight.

Tour 5 : Padar island - Komodo island - Pink Beach - Manta point - Kanawa (B/L/D)
On the next day the boat trip to Komodo starts at 05:30am while you are still having a sleep. Sorry that the sound of the machine will disturb you. The boat trip takes time approximately 1, 5 hours. Upon arrival in Komodo, a ranger will welcome you and introduce you some regulations that you must follow for your safety during trekking. He and your guide will escort you during trekking in the forest. Komodo dragons commonly appear between 06:30am to 10:00am. This is the best time for Komodo dragons for hunting and also a good opportunity for them to catch their prey such as Timor deer, wild boar, water buffalo, small lizards and snakes. Not only Komodo dragons that inhabit this wonderful Komodo island but also birds like white bellied sea eagle, orange-footed schrubfowl, green jungle fowl, frigate birds and great-billed heron. Proceed to Pantai Merah (pink beach) for snorkeling and swimming. This place is one of the most visited sights in Komodo, which has a gorgeous corral reef with many colorful fishes in crystal clear water. From the Pink beach, then head towards Manta point if the weather condition permits. During snorkeling in the Manta point you have a good opportunity to see the great Mantas, but we can’t guarantee that the Mantas are always there to see, because it is not in aquarium. Attention! "Please don't dive and take a picture from the bottom of the sea, as the underwater current is very strong in this place". From the manta point, then head towards Kanawa Island. Dinner and overnight on the boat in Kanawa.

Tour 6 : Return Flight to Bali (B/-/-)
After breakfast we have the opportunity to go snorkeling. Kanawa is a small island that is circled by corral reefs. It is a good place to see the colorful corral fishes. After that the boat will take you to Bidadari island for snorkeling. Return to labuan Bajo and check in at the airport for the return flight to Bali.
